These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern membership of Exposed Photography Club (“the Club”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By joining the Club, attending activities, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

1. About the Club

Exposed Photography Club is a UK-based photography club offering meetings, events, workshops, and photo walks for photographers of all abilities.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The latest version will be available on our website.

2. Membership

2.1 Eligibility

• Membership is open to individuals aged 16 and over
• Members under 18 must have parental or guardian consent

2.2 Joining & Payment

• Membership is purchased online via www.exposedphotoclub.co.uk
• Members may choose monthly or annual membership
• Monthly memberships renew automatically
• Annual memberships are paid upfront
• Membership begins once payment is successfully processed

2.3 Fees & Refunds

• Fees are shown on the website at time of purchase
• Membership fees are non-refundable, except where required by UK consumer law

2.4 Cancellation

• Monthly memberships may be cancelled before the next billing date
• Annual memberships expire after 12 months unless renewed
• Cancelling stops future payments but does not entitle the member to a refund

2.5 Termination

We may suspend or terminate membership without refund if a member:

• Breaches these Terms
• Breaches the Code of Conduct
• Acts in an unsafe, abusive, or disruptive manner
• Fails to make required payments

3. Code of Conduct

Members must behave respectfully and safely at all times and comply with the Club’s Code of Conduct.

4. Events & Activities

• Places may be limited and require booking
• Events may be changed or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances
• No refunds for non-attendance unless stated otherwise

5. Health, Safety & Safeguarding

• Members attend activities at their own risk
• Members are responsible for their own safety, wellbeing, and equipment
• Instructions given by organisers or walk leaders must be followed

Public Photo Walks

• Walks may involve uneven ground, traffic, water hazards, or public interaction
• Members must remain aware of their surroundings
• Members must not place themselves or others at risk to obtain photographs

Safeguarding

• Harassment, intimidation, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated
• Safeguarding concerns should be reported immediately
• The Club may remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe

6. Photography & Copyright

• Members retain copyright of their own images
• Images shared within the Club may be displayed for Club-related purposes
• Promotional use will only occur with consent

7. Equipment

• Members are responsible for their own equipment
• The Club is not liable for loss, theft, or damage

8. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with UK data protection law.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot be excluded or limited under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Subject to this, the Club is not liable for:

• Loss or damage to personal property
• Injuries not caused by negligence
• Indirect or consequential losses

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
